The American International School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, gender or physical ability in the recruitment and admission of its students, in the administration of its educational policies and programs, or in the recruitment and employment of its faculty and staff. Applicants to American International School are selected on the basis of good citizenship and academic potential in a rigorous program that ultimately aims to prepare students for college. Special attention is given to each applicant’s prior academic and non-academic record in school, as measured by grades, the admissions test, standardized test scores, and letters of recommendation from teachers and others who know the applicant well. In making the selection among applicants, the Admissions Committee considers current capacity at the recommended grade level, student aptitude, and social/emotional maturity. Interested families are invited to make an appointment with the Director of Admissions.
